Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons, as a tight-end within the National Football League. One of the NFL's most successful tight ends and the third most effective overall receiver, he's been recognized as the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receiving yards, receptions and receptions, among other things.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end for the Kansas City Chiefs as well as Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at the studio of FOX. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez is a regular for FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour long NFL pregame show preceding FOX NFL SUNDAY, airing every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claim to be retiring in the NFL at the end of 2013 was not true. On the 15th of March 2013, Gonzalez agreed to sign with the Falcons a 2-year contract for $14 million. After the departure of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez was the league's top player in receiving yards.
